Skin routine

Although I am a passionate makeup artist I just can't seem to get into the habit of personal skin care routines. I find them long and boring, and frankly my dear, I just don't give a damn! Although recently i've been wishing i'd done just that, given a little time to take care of my skin to make it as dreamy and pretty as possible.

I've got combination skin, what that means is that its both dry and normal around certain parts of my face. Mostly the higher areas are dry such as my nose/cheekbones and forehead, the rest of my face is perfectly fine.

I get gifted products all the time, so i'm lucky in that sense that I get to try out a few items on the market that are new without having to pay for them, however this hasn't worked out so well for me. I haven't found anything thus far that really, reallllly was amazing and that i'd be willing to stick to. So I went on a little quest the other day and found myself in TK max (I LIVE for this store) I found myself a few little goodies that i've been using for a week now and just feel like I MUST share it with everyone.
I truly can't express enough how I was in dire need of a change with my skin, it just felt drab and lifeless, it looked dull and tired from possibly being over worked. All that goodness aside I literally took a gamble at 2 products I solely bought cause of the company, which was Elizabeth Arden.

Firstly I got the Elizabeth Arden Deep Cleansing Mask.

This really does what it says on the tin and to my surprise, i've had a few clay masks before and they really did no good, neither did they do any harm. Like I said, nothing to rave about. However this Elizabeth Arden one is different! All you need to do is wash your face and apply a thin/reasonable layer to your skin. Your skin doesn't need to be damp or wet, i'd say wash your face, remove all makeup and pat dry, then apply the mask. It says to leave it on for 10 mins and than wash off, you can feel your skin tightening and it feel refreshing when its on. I've got sensitive skin as well so I had no reactions to this what so ever. After 10 mins when I washed it off my skin felt instantly smooth, softer and moisturised. I actually didn't feel like I needed to moisturise any further but me being OCD I did so anyway.

To moisturise I used the visible difference cream

I think I can honestly say i'm in love, this is where all the magic to my newly radiant and soft face is. I really really really cannot recommend this cream more than that. The amazing thing is that you can instantly feel the difference, I went to bed with it on and literally woke up with my skin still refreshed and soft, smooth and moisturised. I've honestly never had that. I usually wake up with dry skin that I have to scrub away at with a Brillo pad to reveal any time of decency in me. I've been using this cream for a week now, once in the day and once at night and I can see a difference, and literally feel it as well. My skin feels hydrated, it looks like the skin tone has evened out a bit. It goes on light however you don't get that oil after feel you get with most heavy hydrating creams. It just absorbs in and leaves it feeling fresh and soft, i've actually stopped using foundation for my problem areas. Having asian skin means you are more prone to discolouration but for the past week i've moved down to a tinted moisturiser and that's all I feel I need now.

The best news is that these are always on sale and you can find them for cheap/ish almost anywhere online! They are worth the price tag and i'd go as for as saying i'd even pay full price for them.

My deep cleansing mask was £8 at TK Max and the cream was £20. They should last quite a while too, they are definitely worth the buy.

Studded DIY

It has been a while I know! I've just been so busy, however I have got pictures to upgrade you with to share with you all!

I got this cute little plastic back pack from Primark a few months back on sale, From £6 to £3! How amazing! It was simple and chic so I got one in a mint green and another in a bright neon type of pink. Me being me I ordered some mushroom head spikes off ebay, I got 200 for about £15 I believe. They came super quick and I got busy!

All you need is a little exacto knife to make little slots for the spikes and you are ready to go!

I'd already added two before I took a before picture, sorry!

You split the spike pins below to secure them into place

taaaddddaaa! Took a grand total of 10 mins and I think it looks schuweeeeeet.

DIY table restoration

So my computer table is looking a little worn these days and needs a fresh coat of paint, however I just wanted to share it with you guys because I simply love it. This table was a brown wicker table before, with ugly handles  and a plain glass base. Unfortunately I don't have before images of this restoration  but i'd like to share it with you guys anyway just incase you might be planning to throw out some old furniture. Why not restore it?

It literally took me half an hour outside on a sunny day and less than a day to dry using ordinary white household gloss paint.

Glass painted the glass using a pattern on one of my quilt overs as a tracing ref

Changed the handle for these pretty ceramic ones from B&Q and were about £1.50 each

So you can see it's a little worn in now, but nothing another lick of paint can't handle.
